Applicants applying under the 3-year rule based on marriage must submit their marriage certificate and proof the marriage is valid (e.g., joint financial accounts, property ownership, etc.).
Applicants must provide a detailed record of all trips outside the U.S. during the 3- or 5-year eligibility period to prove continuous residence and physical presence.
Applicants with an arrest record must submit certified court dispositions for each incident to provide evidence of the outcome (dismissed, conviction, etc.).
If applying for an age-based exemption, include proof of age and residency. For a disability-based exemption, submit Form N-648 completed by a licensed medical professional.
