To be eligible for the ARRT CT certification, you must already hold an ARRT certification in radiography, nuclear medicine, or radiation therapy. A bachelor's degree or years of experience is not specifically required.
Candidates must complete and document specific clinical competencies in CT imaging, which is a mandatory part of the eligibility criteria. The competencies demonstrate hands-on experience and practical understanding of CT procedures.
Candidates must comply with ARRT’s Standards of Ethics, which includes agreeing to abide by ethical practices and reporting any violations. There’s no separate ethics exam required.
Candidates must complete an accredited educational program in computed tomography. Programs not accredited or unrelated to CT do not meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility for the CT certification requires an existing ARRT certification in radiography, nuclear medicine, or radiation therapy. A state license alone or a master’s degree does not meet this requirement.
