What the CBP is and how it works

According to International BodyTalk Association, “Study for the Fundamentals Exam, which contains both written and oral components.”^[1]

The CBP is the practitioner certification of the International BodyTalk Association (IBA). The last step is the Fundamentals Exam, which has both written and oral practical components.

How it is delivered. You arrange the exam through an instructor. When you have met most of the certification requirements and feel ready, contact a Certified BodyTalk Instructor (CBI) you have worked with and say you want to become certified. That instructor gives you the exam individually and supports you through the final steps.

Fees. The exam costs $250 USD, which you pay to your examining CBI before the exam. You also pay a $50 USD processing fee to the IBA when you submit your certification.

Scoring. You must score 90% or better on both the written exam and the oral practical exam. Both results have to reach that standard, so a strong result on one does not cover a weak result on the other.

After you certify. To keep the credential, you earn 32 CEUs every 2 years and maintain Practitioner Level Membership. You also need to stay current on IBA Policy & Procedure and follow the Code of Ethics.
