All DVSA theory tests are taken at official test centres across the UK and consist of two parts: a multiple-choice section and a hazard perception test. You must pass both parts in the same sitting to receive your theory test certificate, which is valid for two years.
The multiple-choice questions are based on the Highway Code, traffic signs, vehicle handling, safety, and other road-related topics. The hazard perception test uses video clips where you must identify developing hazards.
