• Format confirmed for 2026: every module is an 80-question test of multiple-choice and matching questions lasting 80 minutes, with a recommended minimum English level of CEFR B1. (source)
• No pass or fail: Cambridge reports each module in Bands 1–4 (Band 4 highest). Band 1 = limited knowledge, Band 2 = basic but systematic knowledge, Band 3 = breadth and depth of knowledge, Band 4 = extensive knowledge. Certificates are identical for digital and paper-based tests. (source)
• Digital vs paper delivery: TKT Digital (on computer) is available 365 days a year with registration up to three working days before the test date; paper-based sittings close registration six weeks before the test. Digital candidates in one sitting get slightly different versions of the test; paper candidates all get the same paper. (source)
• Results timing: TKT Digital results are delivered in 7–10 working days; paper-based results take six weeks. (source)
• Registration and fees: you must register directly with an authorised TKT centre. Cambridge does not publish a fixed fee: the cost "depends on which exam you take and where you take it", so contact your centre for dates and the per-module price. (source)
