Testing is computer-based, with test sites in Illinois and nationwide. Online-proctored exams are also offered; check the delivery options for your selected exam. Elementary Education (Grades 1–6) (305) has 150 multiple-choice questions. Mathematics (208) has 100 multiple-choice questions. Elementary Education (Grades K–6) (702) uses testlets, costing $25 per testlet or $150 for all six testlets. Its official test page specifies a cumulative passing scaled score of 240. The official ILTS Retake Policy provides a free-retake route after two prior failed attempts when the qualifying-score requirement is met.
