What do I need to get into nursing school?

Most nursing programs require a 2.5โ€“3.5 GPA, completion of prerequisite courses (anatomy, physiology, microbiology, statistics), and passing the TEAS exam. Some programs also require CNA certification, letters of recommendation, and volunteer or healthcare work experience.

How long does nursing school take?

ADN programs take 2โ€“3 years. BSN programs take 4 years. Accelerated BSN programs for those with a non-nursing bachelor's degree take 12โ€“18 months. RN-to-BSN bridge programs for working RNs take 1โ€“2 years.

What is the NCLEX exam?

The NCLEX is the standardized exam nursing graduates must pass to become licensed as an RN or LPN. It uses computerized adaptive testing (CAT) and tests clinical judgment across multiple categories.

How many clinical hours are required for nursing school?
