What the ECFMG is and how it works

According to Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) / Intealth, “Applicants must attain a minimum score of 350 on the Listening, Reading, and Speaking sub-tests, and a minimum score of 300 on the Writing sub-test, in one test administration.”^[1]

ECFMG Certification is the route international medical graduates use to become eligible for US graduate medical education. To meet the examination requirements, you must pass USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK and complete an approved Pathway to satisfy the clinical skills and communication skills requirements.
