Computer engineering is a fast-growing discipline devoted to developing vital computing technologies, from chips to computers to networks to programming tools and key algorithms. Students in the BS program take courses that provide a comprehensive understanding of both digital hardware and software, plus a solid foundation in the basic sciences of physics and chemistry. The BS degree program provides a balance of theoretical fundamentals and hands-on experiences in a small class setting. Courses include electronic design, VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) design and circuits, digital signal processing and image processing, biomedical instrumentation, microprocessors/embedded systems/FPGAs, wireless networks, computer-aided design, and more. In addition, students complete university, college and department degree requirements.
