How To Install Windows XP On MacBook Pro
Windows XP can be installed on a Mac as a virtual machine (VM), or as an operating system that runs on top of another OS. The latter is a good way to run Windows XP, but it requires some extra steps.
In order to run a Windows XP installation on a Mac, you need to install a virtualization program like Parallels or Boot Camp on your computer. These programs enable you to create a virtual hard drive on your Mac that can run Windows XP, as well as other software.
If you donβt already have a virtual hard disk, you can create one in Appleβs Disk Utility. To do this, select your systemβs hard drive in Disk Utility and click the Partition tab.
Then, create a new partition for Windows XP. You can create a 5GB or 10GB partition, depending on how much space you need for Windows and applications. You can also delete some partitions to free up additional space.
