• Select Window > Workspaces > Effects to change to the Effects workspace.

• Tap the desired filter to activate it.
• To continue using this filter for all meetings you’ve attended on this device, select Apply to all meetings from the menu.

• Access the Advanced System Settings. Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard, hit the “R” key, and then release the Windows key if your “This PC” symbol mysteriously vanishes from your desktop.
• Access Performance Options. After selecting the “Advanced” tab, go to the “Performance” box and click the “Settings” button. The visual effects options box will then be displayed.
• Set the visual effects parameters.
• For Best Performance, adjust.
• Choose the radio button labeled “Adjust for best performance” if your machine needs a performance boost. In most cases, your options are to let Windows decide what’s best or make the adjustment for maximum performance. Granularly adjusting settings (selecting each checkbox option) is unlikely to have significant positive effects. Once you have selected the choice for the greatest performance, I only advise you to try the “Enable Peek” setting. Test the performance both with and without it.

• Start the Meet app. Choose a meeting with the Meet app.
• Before you sign up, tap Effects at the bottom of your self-view.
• Tap Slightly blur to blur your background slightly.
• Tap Blur background to make your background fully transparent.
• Tap Add Add to add your background.
• To choose a background that has already been uploaded, tap it.
• To choose a style, tap Styles at the bottom, then tap the desired style.
• To choose a filter, hit Filters at the bottom, then tap the desired filter.
• If the filter is interactive, activate it by following the on-screen instructions.
• Tap No effects or tap to cancel the effect.
• Tap Done when you’re finished.
• Press Join.

• Pay attention to people and lecturers when they speak. Utilizing this method will keep you concentrated.

• When studying textbooks and attending lectures, take thorough notes. Review and revise your notes after class to strengthen your understanding, preferably right away, while you still remember much of the lecture.
• Read assignments in 25-minute intervals (after 25 minutes of reading, your brain loses 85% of its input).
• Read the chapter overview and summary before starting a textbook chapter to get a general idea of the material. And then start reading.

• Review all the notes you made in your book before you put them away to help you remember what you learned.
• Add brief definitions to the back of colored index cards with new vocabulary items, or write in color on white cards. Carry these with you and go over them whenever you have a moment to spare, such as before class or while standing in line.
