The first step in the certification process is submitting an online application through the ARRT portal. After the application is approved, candidates can proceed with scheduling the exam and completing any other requirements.
The CT certification exam is computer-based and is administered at Pearson VUE testing centers. It is not available for remote proctoring or in-person workshops.
The ARRT CT certification exam typically includes 150 questions. The exam assesses knowledge in areas such as patient care, imaging procedures, safety, and quality control.
A passing score of 75 or higher is required to achieve ARRT certification in CT. This score is scaled and represents the minimum competency required for certification.
After passing the exam, candidates will receive an official certification from ARRT. The certification is typically mailed after the results are processed. Recertification and continuing education requirements come later in the process.
