I keep seeing Real estate come up in every study guide and practice test for Real Estate License.
How heavily does it actually appear on the real exam? I've done about 6 full practice tests now and it shows up constantly, which makes me think it's a high-weight topic — but I want to confirm before I go deep on it.
What I've noticed: the questions on "real estate" in the practice tests are mostly conceptual, but occasionally they throw in these weird scenario questions where you have to apply the concept in an unusual situation. Those trip me up.
I'm also looking at "real estate law" as supplemental material. Is it worth going through that in detail or is the practice test approach enough?
Genuinely curious what percentage of the REAL exam is dedicated to this area.
I actually failed the first time by a few points. Total gut punch. But passed on the second attempt with a comfortable margin.
What changed: I stopped trying to memorize answers and started actually understanding the material. Specifically on real estate law — I went back to basics and worked forward from first principles.
Also switched from reading to doing. Less time with the textbook, more time on practice questions with detailed answer explanations.
