I'm sitting for the CEP in about 7 weeks and trying to figure out how deep I need to go on the practice side. The exam covers everything from digital marketing funnels to fulfillment logistics, which is a pretty wide range. I've been in ecommerce for 3 years so some of it is intuitive, but the financial metrics section is giving me trouble.
Right now I'm doing about 40 practice questions a day and scoring around 68-72% consistently. I read that you need at least 75% to pass, so I'm not there yet. My weakest areas are conversion rate optimization theory and the supply chain modules, probably because my current job doesn't touch those much.
Anyone who's passed recently — how many total questions did you work through before test day? I'm wondering whether I should extend my prep to 10 weeks or just grind harder in the next 7. Also curious whether the actual exam leans more practical or definitional, because the practice banks feel really definition-heavy.
I worked through probably 600-700 questions total before my exam and passed with an 81%. The real test felt more applied than the practice questions, so understanding the concepts behind the definitions matters more than memorizing them.
7 weeks is enough time if you're doing 40 questions a day. I did 5 weeks at that pace and passed with a 77%. Don't extend unless your scores aren't moving after week 4.
The supply chain section is trickier than people expect. I'd carve out a full week just for that domain if you're weak there. It was about 18% of my exam by feel.
