My manager just nominated me for the CCCP certification. I run a team of 12 agents and have been in contact center management for 5 years. Feeling decent about the operational side but the strategic planning sections are going to need work.
How long did it take most people to prep? And what does the exam format look like — is it scenario-based or more of a knowledge recall format?
Also any specific resources that helped? I've looked at the ICMI materials but not sure what else is worth the time.
ICMI study guide is the right call. Supplement it with real case studies on customer experience metrics. The exam rewards people who can connect data to decisions.
Passed on first try with a 79. The change management and culture questions at the end were the hardest — know how to drive adoption of new processes with resistant teams.
The workforce management section is deeper than most people expect. Know your Erlang C basics and how to interpret service level data under different staffing models.
Took me 8 weeks, about 45 minutes a day. It's definitely scenario-based — they describe a contact center situation and ask what you'd prioritize or how you'd respond.
