California Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD) Certificate Exam
The CLAD certification exam (now administered as the CTEL examination) assesses California educators' competency in English learner instruction, cross-cultural communication, language development theory, and culturally responsive teaching methodologies. A minimum scaled score of 220 out of 300 is required to pass each subtest.
