What the CTC is and how it works

According to Sensational Brain LLC, “Successfully passing a quiz with a score of ≥70% automatically generates a certificate.”^[2]

The CTC is a micro-credential for professionals who work with children and want a structured grounding in childhood trauma. It is not a single sitting at a testing center. It is an online program made up of view-on-demand webinars and a capstone project. The program features 11 evidence-based webinars covering different aspects of childhood trauma.

Pacing. The training is self-paced. Modules run roughly 120-180 minutes each, and the program is ideally completed within 12 months.

Scoring. You need a score of at least 70% on each post-test, plus a satisfactory capstone project. Passing a post-test generates a CEU certificate that you can download immediately for that webinar. Your final CTC credential certificate is emailed after you complete all the modules.

Eligibility and cost. The target audience is introductory- to intermediate-level OTs, SLPs and other pediatric professionals. The listed fee is $499.00.

After each set, read every explanation, including those for questions you got right, and write one sentence for each miss that states the rule behind the correct answer.

Give extra time to the topics that tend to blur together, such as trauma-informed care principles versus specific intervention strategies, and ethics versus family engagement. Retake a set only after a gap, so you are recalling the idea and not the answer order.

Before each post-test, review your miss notes and the webinar material rather than rereading every question. Plan the capstone project early, since it is graded separately from the post-tests.
