What the ACMA is and how it works

According to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, “HPE certifications are achievable by HPE partners, unaffiliated consultants, customers, and HPE employees.”^[2]

ACMA is an HPE certification for people who work with Aruba wireless and mobility networks. HPE states that its certifications are achievable by HPE partners, unaffiliated consultants, customers, and HPE employees, so you do not need to work for HPE or a partner to sit it.

Proctored HPE exams are administered through Pearson testing centers and OnVUE online proctoring. You can choose a test center or take the exam remotely, depending on what is available to you.

The fee listed by Pearson VUE for HPE0/HPE6 exams is $260 USD in developed countries and $145 USD in emerging countries. Check which rate applies to your country when you book, because we cannot decide that for you.

If you do not pass, the retake rule is a wait of 14 days if the previous two attempts were within 14 days. Read the full policy on the Pearson VUE HPE page before you schedule a second try.

HPE says versionless certifications are valid for 3 years. You keep a certification current by completing a recertification exam before it expires.

Example 1

Rule to remember: match the feature to the problem it solves. Roaming assistance needs neighbor reports, band steering needs client placement, and channel planning is a separate task.

Avoiding complex scenarios means you never build the judgment the role needs.

Rule to remember: when a question asks what shows real competence, choose the answer that combines understanding with careful judgment, not rote steps, blind trust in tools, or avoidance.

How to use these practice tests

Begin with the foundations: Wireless Fundamentals and RF Principles. Then move to Controller Architecture and Access Point Deployment, so you can picture how the pieces fit together.

After each set, read the explanation for every question you missed, then write one sentence on the rule behind it. If you get a question right by guessing, treat it as a miss. Repeat the weak sets after a break, and only then try mixed sets.
