Answer: 14 pounds
Cement-to-sand is 2:5, so 35 × (2/5) = 14 pounds of cement.
A $1,500 invoice has a 2% early-payment discount. What is the discounted amount due?

2% of $1,500 is $30, so $1,500 − $30 = $1,470.
