    Answer: 140

    35% of 400 = 0.35 x 400 = 140.

    Answer: 30 km/h

    Speed = 45 / 1.5 = 30 km/h.

  3. A square has a perimeter of 36 cm. What is its area?

    Answer: 81 cm²

    Each side is 9 cm (36 / 4), so area = 9 x 9 = 81 cm².

  4. If 2/5 of a number is 30, what is the number?

    Answer: 75

    The number = 30 / (2/5) = 30 x 5/2 = 75.

    12 x 38 = £456.

    11 - (-4) = 15°C increase.

    90° out of 360° is 90/360 = 1/4.
