    Answer: 37.5%

    3 / 8 = 0.375, which equals 37.5%.

  5. A phone plan costs £15 per month plus £0.05 per minute. What is the cost in a month with 200 minutes used?

    Answer: £25

    Minutes cost 200 x 0.05 = £10, plus £15 base = £25.

  6. The average of five numbers is 18. What is their total sum?

    Answer: 90

    Sum = average x count = 18 x 5 = 90.

  7. A map scale is 1:50,000. How many kilometres does 4 cm on the map represent?

    Answer: 2 km

    4 cm represents 200,000 cm = 2,000 m = 2 km.
