The English Language Arts section is split into two parts: Revising/Editing and Reading Comprehension.
Revising/Editing gives you standalone sentences or short passages and asks you to fix grammar, punctuation, word choice, and sentence structure. You need a solid understanding of standard written English — not just what sounds right, but what the rules actually are.
Reading Comprehension includes literary and informational passages, each followed by multiple-choice questions. You'll be asked about main idea, inference, vocabulary in context, author's purpose, and textual evidence. These passages can be dense.
