RBT Practice Test: Video 1 Answers (25 Questions)

Question 1

Counting each time a student raises a hand during a 30-minute class is which type of measurement?

Accepted Answer

Frequency (event) recording

Answer

Frequency recording counts how many times a behavior occurs. Duration measures how long each occurrence lasts, so it does not fit a simple count.

Question 2

An RBT records the time between an instruction and the client starting to comply. This is:

Accepted Answer

Latency

Answer

Latency is the time from a stimulus (such as an instruction) to the start of the response. Inter-response time is between two responses, not from a cue.

Question 3

In partial interval recording, an interval is scored if the behavior occurs:

Accepted Answer

At any point during the interval

Answer

Partial interval scores the interval if the behavior occurs at any time in it. Whole interval requires it throughout, which is the main contrast.

Question 4

On a line graph, the horizontal (x) axis typically represents:

Accepted Answer

Time, such as sessions or dates

Answer

The x-axis usually shows time units like sessions or days. The y-axis shows the behavior measure, so confusing them reverses the graph.

Question 5

Which is the best way to find out what a client likes before choosing reinforcers?

Accepted Answer

Use a stimulus preference assessment

Answer

Preference assessments identify items likely to function as reinforcers for that individual. Using your own preferences or one item for everyone ignores individual differences.
