Procore Superintendent Certification Procore Superintendent Scheduling & Coordination

Question 1

When using Procore's Schedule tool, what does the 'critical path' highlight in a project schedule?

Accepted Answer

The sequence of tasks that determines the minimum project duration

Answer

The critical path is the longest chain of dependent tasks, and any delay on it directly extends the overall project completion date.

Question 2

A superintendent needs to coordinate a concrete pour that depends on rebar inspection approval. Which Procore feature best enforces this dependency?

Accepted Answer

Schedule task predecessor linking

Answer

Predecessor linking in Procore's Schedule tool prevents successor tasks from being started until the predecessor is complete or approved.

Question 3

Which Procore integration allows a superintendent to push schedule updates from Primavera P6 directly into the Procore schedule view?

Accepted Answer

Schedule import via XER file

Answer

Procore accepts Primavera P6 XER files through its Schedule import feature, enabling superintendents to keep both systems aligned.

Question 4

During a two-week look-ahead meeting, a superintendent identifies a float value of zero for a framing activity. What does this mean?

Accepted Answer

Any delay to this activity will delay the project finish

Answer

Zero float means the activity is on the critical path, so any delay will directly push the project completion date.

Question 5

A subcontractor's foreman requests a schedule change in Procore. What is the correct workflow for the superintendent to manage this request?

Accepted Answer

Use the Schedule Change Request feature to log, review, and approve the revision

Answer

Procore's Schedule Change Request workflow maintains an audit trail and ensures all revisions are reviewed and approved before the baseline is updated.
