POPAT – Peace Officers Physical Abilities Test
The POPAT is a standardized physical fitness evaluation used by Canadian law enforcement agencies to assess whether recruits and officers can meet the physical demands of police work. It consists of four timed components: a 6-lap agility course, a push/pull station, a vault/squat-thrust station, and a 100 lb sandbag carry — all completed in under 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
