  1. Find the error: 'The teacher, along with her students, are planning a field trip.'

    Answer: are planning

Phrases beginning with 'along with' do not change the number of the main subject; it should be 'is planning'.

  2. Which sentence contains an article error?

Answer: The honesty is the best policy.

Abstract nouns used in a general sense do not take 'the': 'Honesty is the best policy'.

  3. Identify the error: 'She told me to not speak during the exam.'

    Answer: to not speak

The negative of an infinitive places 'not' before 'to': 'not to speak'.

  4. Find the error: 'If I was you, I would apologize immediately.'

    Answer: If I was you

In formal/standard English, the subjunctive 'were' is used in hypothetical conditions: 'If I were you'.

  5. Which sentence has a word-order error?

Answer: He always is late for meetings.

Frequency adverbs go after the auxiliary verb 'is': 'He is always late'.

  6. Identify the error: 'The equipment were delivered this morning.'

    Answer: were delivered

'Equipment' is an uncountable noun and takes a singular verb: 'was delivered'.

  7. Find the error: 'He is one of the students who has won a scholarship.'

    Answer: who has won

The relative clause refers to 'students' (plural), so it should be 'who have won'.
