What is the perimeter of a regular hexagon with side length 9 cm?
Answer: 54 cm
A regular hexagon has 6 equal sides. Perimeter = 6 × 9 = 54 cm.
What is the area of a circle with diameter 14 cm? (Use π ≈ 3.14)
Answer: 153.86 cm²
Radius = 14/2 = 7 cm. Area = πr² = 3.14 × 7² = 3.14 × 49 = 153.86 cm².
Two parallel lines are cut by a transversal. If one angle is 65°, what is the measure of its co-interior (same-side interior) angle?
Answer: 115°
Co-interior angles (also called consecutive interior or same-side interior angles) are supplementary, so they sum to 180°. The co-interior angle = 180° − 65° = 115°.
What is the surface area of a cube with side length 4 cm?
Answer: 96 cm²
A cube has 6 equal square faces. Area of one face = 4² = 16 cm². Total surface area = 6 × 16 = 96 cm².
The coordinates of two points are A(2, 3) and B(6, 7). What is the distance between them?
Answer: 4√2
Distance = √((6−2)² + (7−3)²) = √(16 + 16) = √32 = 4√2.
A rectangle has a length of 12 m and a diagonal of 13 m. What is its width?
Answer: 5 m
Using the Pythagorean theorem: diagonal² = length² + width². 13² = 12² + w². 169 = 144 + w². w² = 25. w = 5 m.
