  1. A sequence shows figures with increasing sides all drawn inside a circle: [equilateral triangle inscribed] → [square inscribed] → [regular pentagon inscribed] → [?]. What comes next?

Answer: Regular hexagon inscribed in a circle

The inscribed polygon gains one side per step (3→4→5→6), so next is a regular hexagon.

  2. A row of figures: each figure is a square with a diagonal line. Figure 1: diagonal from top-left to bottom-right. Figure 2: diagonal from top-right to bottom-left. Figure 3: both diagonals (X pattern). Figure 4: diagonal from top-left to bottom-right again. [?]

Answer: Diagonal from top-right to bottom-left

    The pattern cycles with period 3: TL-BR, TR-BL, X, TL-BR, TR-BL … so step 5 is TR-BL.

  3. A matrix: each row contains shapes that increase in size left to right. Row 1: small triangle, medium triangle, large triangle. Row 2: small square, medium square, large square. Row 3: small circle, [?], large circle.

    Answer: Medium circle

The pattern in each row is small→medium→large of the same shape; row 3 uses circles so the missing cell is a medium circle.

  4. A sequence of figures shows a triangle with a dot that moves from corner to corner: Step 1: dot at top vertex. Step 2: dot at bottom-right vertex. Step 3: dot at bottom-left vertex. Step 4: [?]

    Answer: Dot at top vertex

The dot cycles through the three vertices of the triangle; after the bottom-left it returns to the top.

  5. A sequence: [figure of a stick person standing upright] → [figure leaning 30° to the right] → [figure leaning 60° to the right] → [figure lying flat (90°)] → [?]. What comes next?

Answer: Figure leaning 60° to the right (mirrored, as if getting back up)

After reaching 90° (flat), the figure reverses direction by 30° steps back toward upright — next is 60° (heading back up).

  6. In a 3×3 grid: each cell contains a shape, and shapes in the same row are the same type. Each row, the fill changes left to right: white → gray → black. Row 1: white square, gray square, black square. Row 2: white circle, gray circle, black circle. Row 3: white triangle, gray triangle, [?].

    Answer: Black triangle

The fill pattern in every row is white→gray→black, so the third cell of row 3 is a black triangle.

  7. A sequence: a figure shows a 2×2 grid where exactly one cell is shaded. The shaded cell moves: (1,1) → (1,2) → (2,2) → (2,1) → (1,1) → (1,2) → [?]. What is the position of the shaded cell?

    Answer: (2,2)

The shaded cell cycles clockwise through the 4 positions; after (1,2) the next is (2,2).
