    2 x $65 = $130. Total = $120 + $130 = $250.

  2. A train departs at 07:45 and arrives 2 hours and 35 minutes later. What time does it arrive?

    Answer: 10:20

    07:45 + 2 hours = 09:45. 09:45 + 35 minutes = 10:20.

  3. A store has 480 items in stock. After a sale, 25% have been sold. How many items remain?

    Answer: 360

    25% of 480 = 120 sold. Remaining = 480 - 120 = 360.

  4. A worker earns $22/hour and works 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week. What are their total weekly earnings?

    Answer: $825

    Daily pay = $22 x 7.5 = $165. Weekly = $165 x 5 = $825.

  5. A recipe makes 24 biscuits using 3 eggs. How many eggs are needed to make 40 biscuits?

    Answer: 5 eggs

    Eggs per biscuit = 3/24 = 1/8. For 40 biscuits: 40 x 1/8 = 5 eggs.

  6. A worker needs to travel 270 km and has already driven 135 km. What percentage of the journey have they completed?

    Answer: 50%

    135/270 x 100 = 50%.
