IPAF PAL Card (Powered Access Licence) Exam
The IPAF PAL Card exam is administered by the International Powered Access Federation. Candidates complete a theory test of 25 multiple-choice questions (requiring 20/25 correct to pass, i.e. 80%) followed by a practical assessment. Topics include MEWP types and categories, pre-use inspection, safe operating procedures, working at height regulations, emergency rescue, ground conditions and stability, safe working load, PUWER/LOLER regulations, and overhead hazards. The PAL card is valid for 5 years.
