  1. A rectangle has a length of 12 cm and a width of 7 cm. What is its perimeter?

    Answer: 38 cm

    Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + width) = 2(12 + 7) = 2(19) = 38 cm.

  2. Find the area of a triangle with a base of 10 inches and a height of 6 inches.

    Answer: 30 sq in

    Area of triangle = (1/2) × base × height = (1/2) × 10 × 6 = 30 square inches.

  3. What is the volume of a rectangular box (prism) with length 5 ft, width 4 ft, and height 3 ft?

    Answer: 60 ft³

    Volume of a rectangular prism = l × w × h = 5 × 4 × 3 = 60 cubic feet.

  4. In a right triangle, the two legs measure 6 cm and 8 cm. What is the length of the hypotenuse?

    Answer: 10 cm

    Using the Pythagorean theorem: c² = 6² + 8² = 36 + 64 = 100, so c = √100 = 10 cm.

  5. A circular pond has a radius of 7 meters. Using π ≈ 3.14, what is the area of the pond?

    Answer: 153.86 m²

    Area = π × r² = 3.14 × 7² = 3.14 × 49 = 153.86 m².

  6. Two angles of a triangle measure 55° and 72°. What is the measure of the third angle?

    Answer: 53°

    The sum of angles in a triangle is 180°. Third angle = 180° − 55° − 72° = 53°.
