  1. All managers are employees. Some employees are part-time. Which conclusion must be true?

    Answer: Some managers may be part-time

    Since only 'some' employees are part-time, managers (a subset of employees) may or may not be among that group.

  2. A store reduces a price by 20%, then increases the reduced price by 25%. What is the net change?

    Answer: 5% increase

    0.80 × 1.25 = 1.00... wait: 0.80 × 1.25 = 1.00, so actually no net change — but the answer is 0% net change.

    Answer: 48

    Each term doubles the previous one, so 24 × 2 = 48.
