Free Troubleshooting Microsoft Teams (MS-740) Questions and Answers — Questions and Answers
Question 1: All workers of the Prepaway Company are being asked to study the Microsoft Teams call quality metrics. To provide the manager access to the Microsoft Teams Call Quality Dashboard, follow these steps. You should assign the manager which role.
- Teams Communications Support Specialist (Correct answer)
- Teams Communications Support Engineer
- Teams Service Administrator
- Teams Communications Administrator
Correct answer: Teams Communications Support Specialist
The Teams Communications Support Specialist role is specifically designed to provide access to the Microsoft Teams Call Quality Dashboard (CQD). This role allows managers or support staff to monitor and troubleshoot call quality metrics without granting broader administrative permissions. It focuses on the communication and call quality aspects of Teams management.
Question 2: A business owns licenses for Microsoft 365 E5. Microsoft-provided phone numbers are used by the business. Calls to external numbers cannot be forwarded by an auto attendant. What are your options?
- Configure external sharing settings from Azure Active Directory.
- Assign a phone system license to the associated resource account. (Correct answer)
- Assign a new auto-attendant number.
- Purchase and assign an international calling plan to the associated resource account.
Correct answer: Assign a phone system license to the associated resource account.
For an auto attendant to forward calls to external numbers (PSTN), its associated resource account must be assigned a Phone System license. Even with Microsoft 365 E5 licenses, which include Phone System capabilities for users, the resource account itself requires this specific license to enable external calling functionality. Without it, the auto attendant is restricted to internal transfers.
Question 3: A manager who wishes to review Microsoft Teams call quality metrics for all Prepaway business employees must be given access to the Microsoft Teams Call Quality Dashboard. Which role from the list will you give the manager?
- Teams Service Administrator
- Teams Communications Administrator
- Teams Communications Support Specialist (Correct answer)
- Teams Communications Support Engineer
Correct answer: Teams Communications Support Specialist
To grant a manager access to the Microsoft Teams Call Quality Dashboard (CQD) for reviewing call quality metrics, the 'Teams Communications Support Specialist' role is the most appropriate. This role provides the necessary permissions to view CQD reports and data, allowing for monitoring and basic troubleshooting of call quality issues without granting extensive administrative control over the entire Teams environment.
Question 4: Microsoft Teams is being used by a Prepaway startup. The departments of sales and support utilize the same channels, however users in the sales department claim that one of them does not have a Files tab. The following message appears: The item may not be available or may not exist. You must recognize the problem and find a solution. How will you proceed?
- Creating a separate document library with the same name as the channel.
- Reverting the renamed folder to the original channel folder name. (Correct answer)
- Recovering all the deleted items from the recycle bin of the corresponding Teams site.
- All of the Above
Correct answer: Reverting the renamed folder to the original channel folder name.
Each channel in Microsoft Teams has a corresponding folder in the underlying SharePoint document library. If this folder is renamed directly in SharePoint, the link between the Teams channel and its files is broken, leading to the 'Files tab' being inaccessible and displaying an error. Reverting the folder name in SharePoint to match the channel name will restore the connection and resolve the issue.
Question 5: You work as an organization's administrator. Users cannot add one another to teams but can chat with one another from an external domain. You must unavoidably make sure that User1 can add User2 with ease. What actions are required?
- Enabling guest access. (Correct answer)
- Using the Microsoft Teams web app.
- Enabling external access.
- Confirming whether the domain is in the external access allowed list.
Correct answer: Enabling guest access.
While external access allows users from different organizations to chat and call each other, it does not permit adding them directly to a team. To enable User1 to add User2 from an external domain to a team, 'guest access' must be enabled in the Microsoft Teams admin center. This allows external users to be invited and participate as guests within the team.
Question 6: Microsoft Teams users of a firm can install and use third-party apps, but new hires are unable to do so. The problem must be solved. How will you carry on?
- assigning an app permission policy that allows third-party apps. (Correct answer)
- enabling Allow interaction with custom apps, in the Org-wide app settings section of the Teams admin center
- enabling the Allow third-party apps option in the Org-wide app settings section of the Teams admin center
- All of the Above
Correct answer: assigning an app permission policy that allows third-party apps.
Even if third-party apps are generally allowed org-wide, individual users or groups are governed by app permission policies. New hires might be assigned a default, more restrictive app permission policy that prevents them from installing third-party apps. To resolve this, an administrator must assign an app permission policy to the new hires that explicitly allows the installation and use of third-party applications.
Question 7: Three normal channels are available to your team, and the team has been removed. You must find the files from each of the three channels. Where are you going to navigate to find the files?
- The SharePoint site’s second stage recycle bin.
- The SharePoint site document library.
- The SharePoint site’s first stage recycle bin.
- The tenant’s SharePoint home page recycle bin. (Correct answer)
Correct answer: The tenant’s SharePoint home page recycle bin.
When a Microsoft Team is deleted, its associated SharePoint site, where all channel files are stored, is also deleted. These deleted SharePoint sites and their contents are moved to the SharePoint tenant's recycle bin (also known as the site collection recycle bin or the tenant's SharePoint home page recycle bin). From there, the site and its files can be restored.
