"Feast buffet" — how important is this for the FEAST exam?

Feast buffet shows up so much in practice tests because it's legitimately one of the heavier-weighted domains on the FEAST — it tests your ability to prioritize and sequence fighter employment decisions under time pressure, which is basically the whole point of the exam. From what I've heard from people who've gone through it, the real test leans on it hard enough that you can't just skim it and hope for the best.

The tip that actually helped me: instead of doing full practice tests back-to-back, isolate the feast buffet section and drill it in chunks. After every mistake, write out in your own words *why* the correct sequencing choice was right — not just what the answer was. That forced articulation is what locks in the decision logic, not just pattern recognition. You can find good isolated drills through a solid feast practice test site that breaks it out by domain rather than always throwing you into full-length simulations.

8 full practice tests is solid volume, but if you keep seeing the same topic and still feel shaky on it, the problem usually isn't exposure — it's that you're moving past wrong answers too fast. Slow down on the ones you miss in that domain specifically. The frequency you're seeing it in practice materials isn't an accident.

Same boat here, still in the middle of my FEAST prep and this question has been bugging me too. From what I can tell from the practice tests, Feast buffet questions seem to cluster pretty heavily around the sequencing and prioritization portions — like they'll give you a buffet scenario and you have to rank tasks or identify the most logical next step. That part specifically is what keeps tripping me up.

Quick follow-up for anyone who's actually taken it: are the buffet scenarios on the real exam more time-pressured than what you'd see on a typical feast practice test? I'm finding that when I slow down I can work through them fine, but under timed conditions I second-guess the ordering logic and end up changing my answer to something worse. Not sure if that's a "I need more reps" problem or a "I need to understand the underlying doctrine better" problem.

Also curious whether the buffet content varies much by testing window or if it's pretty consistent. Eight full practice tests is solid prep — the fact that it keeps showing up for you tracks with what I've been seeing too.
