I've been lurking here for months and wanted to share my experience since I couldn't find much real talk about the RMGA exam when I was studying. Failed my first attempt in February with a 68 — needed a 75 to pass. Honestly, I thought I'd studied enough but the questions were way more scenario-based than I expected. Lots of "what would you do in this situation" type stuff rather than straight definition recall.
Second time around I completely changed my approach. I spent about three weeks using an RMGA practice test bank to get comfortable with the question format, then went back through the official study guide to fill in the gaps I kept missing. Focused heavily on risk mitigation frameworks and the regulatory compliance sections — those showed up a lot more than I anticipated.
Passed with an 81 last week. Happy to answer questions for anyone prepping. What's tripping you up most? For me it was the multi-stakeholder scenarios where you have to prioritize competing interests.
