What's the actual passing score for MCP? Getting conflicting info

Been searching for the MCP passing score and I keep seeing different numbers. Some say 70%, others say 75%, and the official website isn't super clear.

I've been working through "MCP" searches online and the passing requirement seems to vary by state or version? Or am I overthinking this?

My practice test scores are hovering around 69%. Should I be aiming higher before I schedule my actual exam?

Also I noticed on MCP - Microsoft Certified Professionals — are the practice questions usually harder or easier than the real thing? Trying to calibrate how ready I actually am.

Any recent test takers who can share what the real cutoff is?

For what it's worth from someone who's been through it:

The MCP is one of those exams where the practice tests really do prepare you well. The style of questioning is pretty consistent. If you're comfortable with "MCP" material under timed conditions, you'll be fine.

The one thing I'd add: read the question stems very carefully. They sometimes add a qualifier that completely changes the right answer and it's easy to miss when you're going fast.

Also check whether you need to schedule the exam in advance — some testing centers book up 2-3 weeks out.

Passed MCP 2 months ago. Happy to share what I remember.

On the "MCP exam" stuff specifically — I found the practice tests here were actually harder than the real exam on those questions. Which was great because going in I felt more prepared than I needed to be.

The time pressure is real though. I came in with maybe 8 minutes to spare and that was after skipping the ones I wasn't sure about and coming back.

Don't try to cram the night before. Seriously. Last-minute stress makes you second-guess things you actually know.
