Anyone found good free COMPTIA study resources besides the obvious ones?

I've already gone through the standard "COMPTIA" results on Google and most of it is just selling prep courses. Looking for actual free resources.

What I've tried:
- Practice tests here (solid, especially for CompTIA Cloud+)
- A few YouTube channels but the quality is all over the place
- Reddit threads from 2+ years ago (some outdated)

What I haven't tried yet:
- The official COMPTIA study guide — is it actually worth reading cover to cover?
- Library resources — anyone actually found useful materials there?
- Specific YouTube channels that cover COMPTIA exam well

I don't mind paying for something that's genuinely better than free, but I want to max out free options first. Budget is tight.

What resources did you use that you'd actually recommend?

The free comptia cloud architecture and design helped me understand what the exam actually tests rather than just what the material covers.

Quick data point: I spent 6 weeks studying, 1-2 hours a day, and passed with a 81%.

The section on COMPTIA exam took me the longest to feel confident about. Eventually I just drilled practice questions until I could answer them without hesitation.

What testing center did you end up booking? Some of them have much shorter wait times than others right now.

Quick update: just cleared 81% on my most recent comptia-cloud practice set using free comptia cloud data security. Sitting for the real thing in 3 weeks. Feeling cautiously optimistic.

For anyone finding this later: comptia-cloud is passable with consistent effort even working full time. I studied 75 minutes a day for 7 weeks. The free comptia cloud data security kept me honest about my actual gaps.

I'm in the same boat, studying for Cloud+ while working full time with two kids at home. Honestly the trick for me was ditching the idea of long study sessions entirely. I'd do 15-20 minutes on my lunch break or right after the kids went to bed, just chipping away at it. For free material, this site actually has some solid focused stuff like free comptia cloud high availability and recovery questions that are way more targeted than the generic dumps you find everywhere else.

YouTube is hit or miss but don't sleep on the Professor Messer forums, there's a lot of people posting notes and breakdowns for free. The official CompTIA exam objectives PDF is underrated too, I used it as a checklist and it kept me from wasting time on stuff that wasn't even on the test. You don't need a $300 course if you're consistent with the right free resources.

Just passed Cloud+ last month so I'll throw in what actually moved the needle for me. The practice tests on this site were genuinely the best free thing I found, way more realistic than the random ones floating around Reddit. I kept bombing the network virtualization questions until I drilled those specific ones over and over, which you can't really do with a lot of the free stuff out there.

The other thing that helped was just reading the exam objectives line by line and finding one free resource per objective, even if it was a random blog post or a vendor whitepaper. Boring? Yeah. But it filled in the gaps that practice tests alone didn't cover. You don't need a $400 course, you just need to be annoying about covering every objective.
