Just got my results back and passed the Informatica Cloud Certification with an 82%. I wanted to share what actually worked because I spent way too long studying the wrong material early on. I prepped for about 6 weeks, averaging 2 hours a day on weekdays and 4 hours on weekends.

The exam hit hard on mappings, transformations, and IICS architecture. Roughly 35–40% of questions were about core IICS concepts, another 25% on data integration specifics, and the rest covered security, administration, and scheduling. If you're weak on Secure Agent setup, fix that before exam day.

I used the official Informatica Success Center documentation plus about 200 practice questions from a few different sites. The practice questions were honestly the most valuable resource — the real exam uses similar phrasing and scenario-based structures. Flashcards didn't do much for me, but hands-on time in a trial environment absolutely did.

I work with Informatica daily and still found the cert questions tricky. The way they word scenario questions about error handling and session logs is nothing like how you'd think about it in practice. Practice tests that mirror that phrasing style are the most important resource.

The passing score is 65% last I checked, so 82% is a solid buffer. I failed my first attempt at 61% because I underestimated the cloud administration section. Second try I spent two extra weeks on that alone and passed at 78%.

Congrats on passing! I'm sitting mine in 3 weeks and the Secure Agent config questions have been killing me in practice. Did the real exam lean more toward conceptual understanding or did it get into specific UI steps?

Also curious whether 82% felt like a comfortable pass or if it was close.

For anyone prepping: the Informatica University free courses on IICS are worth completing before you touch any practice tests. They're dry but they fill in foundational gaps fast.
