Failed GA DMV written test twice — what am I missing?

Okay I'm kind of embarrassed to even post this but I failed the Georgia DMV written test twice now and I'm starting to lose confidence. The first time I only missed it by two questions, then I studied for another week and somehow did worse on the second attempt. I'm 24, getting my license late, and I really need this for my new job that starts in six weeks.

I've been using a GA DMV practice test site and reading through the official Georgia Driver's Manual, but something clearly isn't clicking. My weak spots seem to be right-of-way scenarios and road sign meanings — I always second-guess myself on those. Has anyone put together a solid study guide that actually maps to what shows up on the real test? I've seen a lot of generic ones that don't feel Georgia-specific at all.

Any exam tips from people who've been through this recently would be genuinely appreciated. What finally made it click for you?

Right-of-way questions got me too on my first attempt. What helped me was not just memorizing rules but visualizing actual intersections. I'd picture myself sitting at a four-way stop and walk through each scenario mentally. Also the GA DMV practice test on the state's official prep resources tends to mirror the real question phrasing pretty closely — that wording familiarity matters more than you'd think. Took me about 15 hours of focused studying spread over two weeks before I finally passed with an 88.

Don't stress too much about the embarrassment — I know people who failed three times. The road signs section tripped me up because I assumed I knew them from just driving around. Turns out there are a bunch of obscure regulatory signs I'd never actually noticed before. I printed out a one-page sign chart and taped it to my bathroom mirror. Saw it every morning for a week and it genuinely stuck. What score are you aiming for? Georgia requires 75% to pass, so you actually have a little cushion.

Seriously, timed practice tests changed everything for me. I was getting answers right when I had unlimited time but panicking during the actual exam. Try setting a 25-minute timer when you practice — it builds the right kind of pressure. You've got this.
