Failed AR DMV knowledge test twice — what am I missing?

So I've taken the Arkansas DMV knowledge test twice now and failed both times. First time I got a 68%, second time a 74% — passing is 80% and I just can't seem to crack it. I've been driving for years (just moved here from out of state and need an AR license), so I figured it'd be easy. Nope.

The road signs section keeps destroying me, and apparently Arkansas has some specific right-of-way rules I wasn't aware of. I've been using a couple of AR DMV practice test sites to drill the questions, which has definitely helped, but I'm wondering if there's a better study guide that actually covers the material the test focuses on. Are there topics you wish you'd studied harder?

I've got my third attempt scheduled for next Friday. Really don't want to pay another $10 fee and sit in that waiting room again. Any tips from people who've recently passed would be seriously appreciated.

The signs section got me too on my first attempt. What helped was printing out the Arkansas Driver License Study Guide straight from the DMV website and going through every single sign chapter. Don't just memorize shapes — they'll describe the sign in words and you have to know what it means. I spent about 4 hours total over three days and passed with an 88%. The practice tests online are great but make sure you're using ones specific to Arkansas, not generic ones.

Honestly the right-of-way questions are where most people get tripped up. Arkansas follows standard rules but the way they word the questions on the actual test can be really confusing. I'd recommend reading the handbook section on intersections out loud — sounds dumb but it helped me internalize it. Also, there's a section on school bus laws that catches people off guard. Make sure you know the exact distance rules for stopping when a bus has its lights flashing.

Third time's the charm! I failed my first attempt too and passed on the second after just one focused evening of studying. Don't cram everything — just target your weak spots. You clearly know what they are, so drill those specifically. You've got this.
