What is the rule for entering a box junction?
Answer: You must not enter unless your exit road is clear, except when turning right and only stopped by oncoming traffic
You must not enter a yellow box junction unless your exit is clear. The only exception is when turning right — you may wait in the box if you are prevented from completing the turn only by oncoming traffic.
What do double yellow lines at the edge of a road indicate?
Answer: No waiting at any time
Double yellow lines mean no waiting at any time. You may stop briefly to drop off or pick up passengers, but you cannot park or wait. Loading restrictions may also apply if kerb marks are present.
When can you legally drive in a bus lane?
Answer: During the times shown on the signs — outside those hours it may be used by all traffic
Bus lanes operate during the times shown on the accompanying signs. Outside those hours, they are usually open to all traffic. Some bus lanes also permit taxis, motorcycles, and cyclists during operating hours.
What should you do when approaching a level crossing with flashing red lights?
Answer: Stop behind the white line and wait until the lights stop flashing
When the red lights flash at a level crossing, you must stop behind the white line and wait. Do not cross until the lights stop flashing, even if the barriers rise — another train may be coming.

Answer: Roads marked with red lines where stopping is strictly controlled
Red routes are major roads in London marked with red lines. Double red lines mean no stopping at any time. Single red lines mean no stopping during times shown on signs. They keep traffic flowing on key routes.
