In England and Wales, the legal drink-drive limit is 80 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood (or 35 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath). In Scotland, the limit is lower at 50 mg. The safest advice is not to drink at all if driving.
