Drawing Exam

The Art Directorate of the Maharashtra Government established the Elementary and Intermediate Grade Examination in 1880. It began with 18 students for the initial examination and has grown to about 2 lakh students who take the exam every year. The purpose of these exams was to encourage and foster an interest in art education among young aspirational individuals.

These tests are usually held in the second half of September each year. Only those who pass the Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination are accepted into specialized higher courses such as Commercial Art, Fine Art, and Foundation. While possessing this additional accreditation is not required for other creative courses such as Fashion Design, Interior Design, or Textile, it does provide you an advantage over your peers. In reality, if you have taken this exam, you will be given precedence in various IT and other vocational courses.

The elementary grade exam is for students in grades 7 and up. Those who pass the elementary exam are eligible to take the Intermediate exam.

Drawing Questions and Answers

  • Begin with the top of the head. The hook is shaped in a sideways manner, with the shorter section of the hook on the bottom. Make sure the long hook line has a little bump at the end. This is what the nose looks like. The snout’s top half is twice as long as the lower jaw.
  • Make the bent ear by continuing the top long snout line. To form the front of the neck line, continue drawing the bottom of the snout back and down.
  • To form the back line, draw a long line from the top of the head. At the conclusion, sharply curve the line down.
  • Draw a line from the rump to the paw in the back of the hind leg. Bring the line almost all the way back to the starting point. Make the hind leg’s top a little longer than the bottom. Add the front leg to the belly line drawn from the hind leg forward. The front leg line extends from just above the belly button to the paw. Its size is the same as the back leg. To link the neck line, bring the front of the leg line back up.
  • In front of the first leg, add another straight front leg. In front of the initial hind leg, add another curving rear leg. Finally, create a slender curved pointed tail from the rump.

Begin with drawing the rose’s outline by meticulously depicting the petals from the outside to the interior. Then use local colors to fill the flower and stem parts. To finish your rose drawing, add shadows using deeper colors.

  • Use photos as a guide. You may have done your study on cat anatomy, but you’ll still need some solid reference photos. This allows you to examine and mimic a cat’s body shape, even if it is foreshortened.
  • Make a rough sketch of the basic shapes. Draw the cat’s major shapes after you’ve studied the reference photographs. Begin with the head of the cat, then work your way down to the body, front legs, hind legs, and tail. And in order to do it, you must first simplify all of the mess, “Merien explains.” You’re dealing with fluffy fur and perspective like a cat.”
  • Bring your line art to a close. After you’ve completed your basic shapes, you can refine the lines into a clear, simple cat shape. “Cats’ ears are typically triangular and stand upright. The muzzle is shaped like a diamond, and the paws are usually small.” “And cats aren’t really muscular, so they’re a little soft-bodied,” Hutchinson adds.
  • Color and details should be added. Now is the moment to give your drawing a final polish. Layer in some color and finish the facial elements, such as the cat’s eyes, whiskers, and markings. Keep in mind that cats’ pupils are slit-shaped. When the pupils are small, they appear as straight vertical lines, whereas when they are large, they take on a more rounded form, obscuring the eye’s colorful iris.

Learning how to draw anime is a rather basic process. Start with simple forms like circles, squares, and rectangles, as you would with any other drawing style. As you work your way through this book, you’ll notice that anime characters are made out of lines, circles, and squares. Remember that practice will aid in the development of your anime sketching technique.

  • Outlines .

Lay out the lines for the nose; you can make this design as big as you want, which will make it easier to follow and complete the task. Make these lines as light as possible.

  • Shading Fundamentals

To begin creating the varied angles of the nose, apply a light shade to it. This will help you get a sense of what belongs where.

  • Shade the Nostrils

To darken the nostril apertures, look for cast shadows under the nose. As a result, the nose will be lifted off the face as a result.

  • Draw in the nose’s left side.

On the left side of the nose, there is a shade. Keep an eye out for minor tone shifts, as well as lost and recovered lines.

  • Finish by adding the right nostril wing.

Make a nostril wing with your right hand. Because the sun is shining from the right, pay close attention to the various tonal levels.

  • The Nose’s Root

Begin by drawing in the root of the nose and the areas around the eye and forehead. The purpose of this area is to make the nose stick out from the rest of the face.

  • Emphasizes

Lift the highlights with your eraser to finish the nose.

The drawn nose must look to stick out in three dimensions on the paper, much as your nose leads your face. Step back and take a look at what you’re doing as you gradually darken around the nose. This will result in a better result.

Make a rough sketch of the head’s hair. Outline the hairline, the top of the hair, and the sides of the hair. Hair on the sides of the face should be cut off around halfway down the face. To give the hair some volume, leave a small gap between the hair and the head. Depending on the haircut, the best approach to create the outline will vary.

If you wish to draw the human body, follow these simple six-step instructions:

  • Begin by drawing the torso, including the rib cage and abdomen. Instead of focusing on the muscles, consider the entire shape and form.
  • Make a drawing of your hips. Once again, keep it simple. This region of the body can be depicted as if it were a pair of short underpants.
  • Bring the shoulders and arms together. Simple shapes for the shoulder, arms, and hands, such as an ellipse, tubes, and squares, will suffice.
  • to draw the legs. Use tubes for the thighs and shins, and triangles for the feet.
  • Make a head. You can do this by creating an ellipse and splitting the head’s various planes.
  • Draw the features of the face. The face includes the eyes, nose, lips, ears, and hair. All of this takes place on top of the skull of your dummy.
  • On top of your dummy, draw the remainder of the body.
  • Create a Triangle We’ll – start by drawing a simple isosceles triangle for our star sketch. Locate the canvas’s center and place the upside-down triangle there. Make sure there’s enough room on all sides of this triangle, especially above and below.
  • Make a new triangle. – In this phase, you’ll start establishing the foundations for two additional points of your star drawing by sketching a second triangle at a slightly different angle. This second triangle’s top point should be aligned with the first triangle’s top point.
  • Adding the Finishing Touches to the Triangle – The second phase will now be repeated, but this time in reverse. On the other side of your five-point star, draw a third triangle.
  • Complete Your Star Drawing by Adding the Center Lines – Adding a centerline across each of the five locations is all that’s required at this stage. Draw a straight line from the star’s midpoint to each point’s tip.
  • Complete the Pentagon Internals – Draw a tiny line from the star’s center to the pentagon’s top right corner within the internal pentagon shape. This line will be used to define and shade our star sketch in subsequent rounds.
  • Finishing Your Star Drawing’s Outline – Rep the previous step on the left side of the pentagon, but this time add a secondary line. Many of the overlapping lines can now be erased, leaving only the central point lines and secondary pentagon lines.
  • Adding Color to Your Stars Sketch for the First Time – With gold paint and a fine brush, begin coloring your hand-drawn star. At this point, you should only color the right side of each star point.
  • Painting the Second Color – With a lighter gold tone, fill in the rest of your star drawing. Fill in the blank halves of the five using a fine brush.
  • Start shaddling – Use a soft shading brush and a small amount of black paint to lightly shade each of the star’s points. Only the right side of each point should have this shading. You should also make sure that this shading has a gradient, with the darkest area on the edge and the shading fading inwards.
  • Adding Highlights – When it comes to generating a three-dimensional effect, highlights are the flip side of the shading coin. Use a small blending brush and some white paint to outline the center lines of each star point in this phase.
  • Draw the Sunflower’s Center

Begin by drawing a circle to outline the center of the sunflower. Make sure there’s enough room for the petals above and plenty of room for the stem and leaves below. Then, inside the first circle, draw a smaller circle.

  • Draw the Petals in the Foreground

Begin placing the petals around the center of the sunflower. You can construct these in any shape you like, but they should be narrower near the base, wider in the middle, and then narrower again towards the points. You can also draw some of them overlapping each other and a few of them separated by a distance.

  • Create the Petals in the Background

You can draw in a second set of petals by sticking out from behind the previous set. Fill up any gaps and balance out the general shape of the sunflower using these.

  • Make a stem

Draw a light curve on the stem, making it slightly thicker at the bottom and narrower at the top.

  • Draw the Leaves in

Sunflower leaves have a heart-shaped form. They will also be observed from an angle in this case. The leaf in the front will be facing the viewer slightly. The back leaf will be facing away from the stem, and its base will be partially buried behind it.

  • Draw a rough outline of the center’s organic shape.

By drawing a “bumpy” line across the two circles drawn before, give the center of the sunflower a more irregular shape.

  • Create the Folds in the Petals

Draw a few wavy lines at the base of the petals to create wrinkles. The number of folds for each petal might vary, but one to three lines should suffice in most cases.

  • Finish the Line Drawing by Adding Leaf Veins

Make a few veins running along the leaves. After you’ve finished adding veins, use darker pencil lines to trace over the rest of your drawing.

  • Add Shading and Complete the Sunflower Drawing

Fill in the middle (where the seeds are) with dark grey and the rim with a lighter grey.

When you’re bored, look about you for ideas. Consider the example of your hand. As you learn to draw a cartoon hand, look at the features of your own palm and fingers. Nothing beats daydreaming beneath the swaying boughs of an ancient oak tree for relaxation.

  • Draw two circles next to each other, touching.
  • Now draw an inverted triangle with the common diameter of both circles as its base.
  • Using the straight line as a guide, draw curved lines that follow the same structure as the circles.
  • On both sides of the heart, draw reflections.
  • Use red to color the heart.

It’s not as difficult as you might imagine to learn to sketch. All you’ll need are a few common household items, some imagination, and a little patience.

  • Drawing Materials

If you’re just getting started, all you’ll need is a pencil and some paper. All you’ll need is a good yellow No2 pencil and some blank printer paper. Although particular art supplies aren’t required, there are a few that are worthwhile investing in if you want to continue exploring drawing.

  • Exercises for Beginners

It’s time to start drawing now that you’ve gathered some basic art equipment. Remember to be patient with yourself, as with everything new, acquiring a new talent takes time. These simple exercises will aid in the development of your eye for line, form, and depth.

  • Your Drawing Book

No artist, not even Leonardo da Vinci, can progress without consistent practice. You’ll always have a place to practice if you keep a sketchbook on hand. It’s also a safe environment to experiment and make mistakes.

Understanding the shapes is required before drawing the lips from any angle. This is a far superior method to slavishly duplicating different perspectives from art courses or references. First, learn the shapes, then gather references from various perspectives and study them. Once again, if you want to draw lips correctly, you must first comprehend the shapes!

What you use to make the comparison will determine this. The iPad Pro is an excellent choice if you need a portable, multipurpose tablet. It’s less expensive than the Wacom, and it lets you pursue drawing and digital graphics as a hobby.

  • Start by drawing the outline of the eye, which is shaped like a kite but isn’t pointed. Maintain a lower left hand than in the upper half.
  • To illustrate the eyeball, draw a circle inside it.
  • Draw the pupil and highlight in the center of the page.
  • Using your pencil, darken the pupil.
  • Follow the top and bottom lines of the eye to draw the upper and lower eyelids.
  • Darken the upper and lower eyelids with a few eyelashes as indicated.
  • Add more eyelashes and fill in the lines that connect the eyeball to the pupil inside the eyeball.
  • Inside it, add more lines and darken it a little.
  • Draw a line around the inside of the eyeball.
  • Darken the pupil’s outer margins and add extra lines.
  • Make the upper lashes darker.
  • Apply a shade inside the eye and smooth it out with your fingers.
  • Making a Foundation

Begin by drawing the base of your tree, or the ground on which it will stand, in your basic tree drawing. You can play with the thickness of your base or add elements like grass and flowers with a simple line.

  • Making a Trunk

Continuing with your tree sketch, draw two vertical lines to represent the tree’s trunk. Your lines will run from the base of your tree to the point where the leafy and bushy part of the tree begins. You may make the trunk as tall as you want it to be, and you can experiment with different line styles to give your tree trunk drawing personality.

  • Draw the leaves

Add volume and make your tree appear bushy by creating simple shapes to indicate the tree’s leaves now that your tree drawing has a base and a trunk.

  • Fill in the Details

You can now add some details to your simple tree once you’ve drawn the foundation.

  • Create an outline for your drawing

The last step in finishing your basic tree drawing is to use a pen to outline your pencil design and remove any stray pencil lines.

Drawing is a skill that may be improved upon through time. There are three areas you might concentrate on if you want to improve your talents. The first is your subject’s building or build; making construction sketches lightly on the page is an important habit that saves time and ensures consistency when drawing the same thing in different poses. Another topic to consider is simplification, or stripping things down to their simplest components. Last but not least, use highlights and shadows to express volume and weight. Naturally, improving your drawing skills requires time and effort.

You must consider who the character will be when sketching cartoon characters and learning how to draw them. When developing a character, the how and who are connected, but they’re more vital with a cartoon figure.

The function of the character will help you imagine how they should seem, what props and elements they should have, and which features should be highlighted. These features not only aid in the development of your character’s purpose and personality, but they also contribute to their appeal.

Are you new to moongazing? If that’s the case, sketching our natural satellite will assist you in orienting yourself. A clear night, a clipboard, paper, and pencils (I recommend a soft 2B pencil and a hard 2H pencil) are all you need. Before you start, look at the moon, paying attention to the dark parts (the lunar Maria) and the brilliant spots (the highlands).

Drawing a character figure can be a relaxing pastime. You can even make up your own characters and begin producing a comic strip or working on an animated film. Sketching cartoon characters is similar to drawing humans in that you must concentrate on the general shape and proportion of the character while exaggerating specific aspects to make it more appealing.

  • First, upload your PDF to our PDF Editor.
  • The ‘Freehand tool’ can be accessed via the top toolbar or by hitting ‘F.’
  • Choose from 27 different colors, as well as the thickness and opacity of the drawing tool.
  • Draw how you choose, then when you’re finished, download your PDF.

To shade a drawing, start by determining where the light is coming from in order to determine where the shadows and highlights will be placed. Then, to create a base layer of shading, lightly shade in your entire drawing. Return to your drawing and strongly darken the sections that are concealed from the light, making them the darkest.

  • Begin by sketching a rectangle.
  • Next, draw two short lines from the top corners that curve inward slightly. Then join it to your rectangle.
  • Draw a horizontal line from the top of the piece to the bottom, and then another further down. Maintain a spacing between those two lines that is similar to the space between the lines of your primary rectangle shape.
  • Then, on the opposite side, repeat the operation.
  • The last step is to sketch both sides’ ends. To do so, draw two angled lines that meet in the middle.

To design a hexagon, you must carefully draw six arcs at regular intervals around the diameter of a circle. Straight lines can then be used to connect the arcs.

Understanding how to draw human anatomy is essential for sketching bodies, whether you want to make powerful superheroes or tall, lithe fashion images. You’ll be able to draw your figures in more realistic and fascinating poses if you understand the basic structure of the human body.

Adding context to a drawing or illustration is a great technique to make it more obvious. A cup of ice cream, for example, might be anything without context: pudding, yogurt, or who knows what else. Adding a dollop of whipped cream and a cherry, however, transforms it into ice cream!

Simply measure your armspan from the middle finger of one hand to the middle finger of the adjacent hand to find your draw length. Divide this value by 2.5 to get the answer. This is the length of your draw.

A drawing room is a room in a castle where visitors can be entertained, as well as a historical word for what is now often known as a living room, while drawing rooms can also be found in today’s palaces, country houses, and manor houses (and some townhouses) in Japan.

Drawing is a type of visual art in which the artist marks paper or another two-dimensional surface with utensils. Graphite pencils, pen and ink, different paints, inked brushes, colored pencils, crayons, charcoal, chalk, pastels, erasers, markers, styluses, and metals are all examples of drawing equipment. Drawing with graphics software on a computer is known as digital drawing. A stylus or finger on a touchscreen device, a stylus or finger on a touchpad, or, in some situations, a mouse are all common techniques of digital drawing. Many digital art applications and gadgets are available.

Shadows give your subject additional depth and make it look more alive. To achieve this, a combination of shading techniques might be used. When utilized effectively, blending, hatching, and graduated shading techniques will help you achieve this goal.

  • Draw a square in the first step.
  • Make a new square. Then draw a second square, slightly offset horizontally and vertically, of the same size.
  • Connect the corners in step three.
  • Join the top left corner of the first square to the bottom left corner of the second.
  • Draw your first 3D square by repeating the process with the other three corners.

Begin with objects that share a similar color scheme. Because dreams are sometimes fuzzy, you may wish to use silhouettes instead of more traditional precise sketching approaches to leave certain features ambiguous. Working in layers, create a backdrop layer and then a layer for each set of objects.

Carry a sketchbook with you and practice sketching whenever you get the chance if you want to improve your drawing skills. Experiment with different drawing tools, such as charcoal and pencil, while you sketch to see which ones you prefer. You can also experiment with holding your drawing tools at various angles to see what results you get.

Figure drawing is the art of sketching the human figure in real time, usually with a naked model standing or sitting in a stance that highlights the figure. This technique aids the artist in capturing the essence of musculature, texture, and positions in the human body. It’s a technique that focuses on understanding the human form’s shape and movement.

The first step in determining a bow’s draw length is to measure it at full extension. Draw arrows straight out from your body with one end on the ground in front of you to accomplish this. One against your chest, and the other against your chin, whichever seems more comfortable. The distance between these two locations will tell me how far back my bows must pull back for accurate shooting.

The short answer is that writing on money is against the law. The consequences for writing on paper money, however, are interestingly limited to a maximum term of one year and a fine. For tampering with cy, the scope is substantially larger, and the penalties are much harsher:

Using the built-in Drawing tool in Google Docs, you can sketch. To add an artistic touch to your documents, use the Drawing tool to create and modify lines, shapes, colors, text, and more.

Begin by drawing the head and neck of a figure. Working from top to bottom – to first indicate and put the model’s head – is perhaps the most usual and logical technique to begin a figure drawing.

It’s not a bad idea to draw or write a message on yourself. Although the writing may require some scrubbing to remove, writing or even drawing on yourself is not harmful to your health.

Creating vector shapes and pathways in Adobe Photoshop is a part of the drawing process. You can draw in Photoshop using any of the shape tools, the Pen tool, or the u>Freeform/u> Pen tool. The options bar has choices for each tool. You must select a drawing mode from the options box before you can begin drawing in Photoshop.
