Locate a location where you can practice and stretch daily. Hard flooring, lots of space for movement, and a big mirror make up the perfect practice area. Work with what you have if you’re training at home because the “perfect” area might not be available. The most important thing is that you have enough room to move. For your protection, pick a well-lit area.
To avoid injuries, warm up 5 to 10 minutes before training sessions. You must thoroughly warm up and stretch before exercising because you won’t have an instructor. To warm up before a training session, you can skip rope, jump jack, or jog while stationary. Your heart rate should gradually increase, and your muscles should be stimulated.
Exercise your muscles for at least 30 minutes daily to increase flexibility. Hold each stretch for ten to fifteen seconds. Only attempt a stretch that you can maintain. Stretching while watching TV is still stretching, so try to squeeze in your 30-minute stretching routine whenever you can.
Watch free online video tutorials to learn choreography. Search YouTube for tutorials that interest you and choose songs and artists from the results. Avoid limiting yourself to “professional” stage dancers; look to pop musicians that incorporate dancing into their videos and live performances.
Use training session recordings to enhance your movement. Set up a recording app on your smartphone to capture your workouts. Review the films after the training session to identify the areas that want improvement. Watching and analyzing recordings of oneself can be a little unpleasant, but the knowledge you gain is priceless.
Move forward four steps. This should begin as soon as the song switches to a 1-2-3-4 beat. Put your right foot forward first. Then, using your right foot first, take four steps back. Repeat.
Shake your head in one direction; nod on beats one and two. On beats 3 and 4, repeat the nodding once more. When Michael Jackson begins to sing, this section should start.
Swing your arms out to the side. The nodding on the beat should be followed immediately by this action. Put an arm behind you and one in front of you. You should straighten your arms. Next, stoop to your knees. Wiggle your bottom up and down while extending it. Then forward a step and wriggle.
Form your hands into claw shapes. Your fingers ought to be spread apart and curved. As if you were tearing through a bush, extend your hands forward and then bring them back. Repeat twice, and then change which side you are grabbing.
Stay upright and still. Lean back and raise one leg before you while throwing your head around. After that, advance twice. After you’ve hopped, extend one leg and place the other leg to the side. Place a hand over your belt. The other hand will be extended directly to your side.
Drop to the ground altogether. It’s called “down, ha!” because when you stand back up, you make a face as though you’re shouting, “Ha!” Four times, repeat this motion.

Use the pause to improvise. You can perform any zombie-like motions you desire during the eight-count wait. Shake hands in front of you after that.

Next, stoop down and attempt to touch your toes. Jump to the opposite side, pause for four counts, and then repeat. Turn around and place one hand over your head after that. Your feet should turn for a beat. Bring your arm back up and down again, stopping and counting for five counts as you do so. On one side of you, grab the air, and then four times on the opposite side.
Make four head turns. Take six steps to spin your body around and face the opposite direction. Take a glance behind you, slap your leg, and then 10 steps back. The song’s second chorus is where your next move will be, so you’re aiming to time this right before it begins. Move more slowly or quickly depending on how far you are from the chorus.
