Note-Taking Systems That Actually Work

Most people take notes the same way they've always taken notes: write down what's said, close the notebook, and hope it sticks. This course breaks that habit. You'll learn why word-for-word transcription quietly fails you, and what to do instead — starting with a simple test for whether any note is actually worth keeping.
From there, you'll build two complete note-taking systems: the Cornell Method, which bakes a self-quiz directly into the page layout, and mind mapping, for material that's more web than list. You'll also see what the research really says about handwriting versus typing, and why the answer depends on when you're writing, not which tool is "better."
The course closes with the piece almost everyone skips: reviewing and reusing notes after they're written, so they pay off long after the lecture or reading session ends.
