4 × 6 = 24 worker-days total; 24 ÷ 8 = 3 days.

Answer: 40 hours
8 + 7.5 + 9 + 8 + 7.5 = 40 hours.
A pie chart shows that 25% of a budget goes to rent. If the total budget is $2,400, how much is spent on rent?
Answer: $600
25% × $2,400 = 0.25 × $2,400 = $600.
A store sells oranges at 3 for $1.50. At this rate, what is the cost of 12 oranges?
Answer: $6.00
