Original × 0.90 = $45, so original = 45 / 0.90 = $50.
If 5 workers can complete a job in 12 days, how many days would 15 workers take (assuming constant rate)?
Answer: 4
Total work = 5 × 12 = 60 worker-days; 60 / 15 = 4 days.
A population grew from 8,000 to 10,000. What is the percentage growth?

(10,000 − 8,000) / 8,000 × 100 = 2,000/8,000 × 100 = 25%.

Apples:oranges:grapes = 2:3:4, so apples to grapes = 2:4.

48/60 = 80%; 80% × 25% = 20% of the final grade.
