  1. A rectangular swimming pool is 25 m long and 10 m wide with a depth of 2 m. What is its volume?

    Answer: 500 m³

    Volume = length × width × depth = 25 × 10 × 2 = 500 m³.

  2. Convert 3 gallons to quarts.

    Answer: 12 quarts

    1 gallon = 4 quarts, so 3 gallons × 4 = 12 quarts.

  3. A wall is 4.2 m wide and 2.8 m tall. What area of paint is needed to cover it?

    Answer: 11.76 m²

    Area = 4.2 × 2.8 = 11.76 m².

  4. Which measurement is equivalent to 1 mile?

    Answer: 1,760 yards

    1 mile = 1,760 yards (or 5,280 feet).

  5. A circular flower bed has a diameter of 6 meters. What is its circumference? (Use π ≈ 3.14)

    Answer: 18.84 m

    Circumference = π × d = 3.14 × 6 = 18.84 m.

  6. A piece of ribbon is 3.6 meters long. It is cut into 8 equal pieces. How long is each piece in centimeters?

    Answer: 45 cm

    3.6 m = 360 cm; 360 ÷ 8 = 45 cm.

  7. An L-shaped room can be split into two rectangles: one 6 m × 4 m and another 3 m × 2 m. What is the total floor area?

    Answer: 30 m²

    Total area = (6 × 4) + (3 × 2) = 24 + 6 = 30 m².
