Arizona students in public and charter schools take the AzM2 reading, writing, and math test every year from third through eighth grade. The grade level AzM2 tests in English language arts and math are administered to 10th graders in high school. The test provides a picture of a student's academic performance. This spring, all Arizona public school students in grades 3 through 8 and high school students in grades 10 will be required to take the AzM2 exam. If your child is taking classes online this year, your local district or charter school is working hard to create arrangements for them to attend in person.

Standardized testing is one of several methods schools use to assess student learning. While standardized tests are not necessary for graduation, they are the most accurate instruments for determining whether or not your child has mastered crucial abilities. Further pieces of information and tests for AzM2 are now available on the AzM2 portal at azm2portal.org for anybody looking for them. These sample tests are around a half-hour long, follow the test pattern, and contain the same item kinds as the operational tests. AzM2 is the new moniker for the statewide ELA and math assessment. The Arizona Department of Education has phased out the AzMERIT tests and high school AzMERIT end-of-course assessments. Here's a list of other AzM2 portals:
