  1. Four-step chain: M=2, N=M×5, O=N+M, P=O×M. What is P?

    Answer: 24

    N=10, O=12, P=12×2=24.

  2. Given T=6, U=T×2, V=U÷T, W=V+U. What is W?

    Answer: 14

    U=12, V=12÷6=2, W=2+12=14.

  3. You memorize: A=4, B=A+6, C=B-A, D=C×B. What is D?

    Answer: 60

    B=10, C=10-4=6, D=6×10=60.

  4. A sequence: X=9, Y=X-6, Z=X+Y. What is Z×Y?

    Answer: 36

    Y=3, Z=9+3=12, Z×Y=12×3=36.

  5. Given J=5, K=J×J, L=K÷J, M=L+K. What is M?

    Answer: 30

    K=25, L=25÷5=5, M=5+25=30.

  6. Variables: R=10, S=R÷2, T=S×3, U=T-R. What is U?

    Answer: 5

    S=5, T=15, U=15-10=5.

  7. Chain problem: H=7, I=H+3, J=I×H, K=J-I. What is K?

    Answer: 60
